Rafael Nadal stopped Tomáš Berdych’s stunning run at the final of Wimbledon 2010. The match ended for two hours and 13 minutes.
The Spanish world No. 1, Nadal, put a break on the Czech dark horse who had, during the course of this tournament, defeated six-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer and world No. 3 Novak Djoković.
Berdych, 24, created history by becoming the 4th Czech player to enter into the Wimbledon final.
Berdych lacked confident and was aware that his only chance was to take risks but Nadal played it aggressively and seemed very confident.
Nadal converted four among six break points, into success shots, while Berdych was unable to convert any of his four break points.
Score card showed 6-3, 7-5, 6-3 in the end making Nadal merry.
Berdych looked like he didn’t make any specific strategy for final but still says confidently that Grand Slam victory is achievable.
